Pickleball Tuesday 10-6-09

Another perfect pickleball day...... no sun, no wind and the temp was just right, and of course no rain. We had puddles to clean up this morning as it had rained both Sunday night and Monday. We knew what to expect. Steve came with his pushbroom and then Bob T. with his squeegee and the 4 of us got the courts into playing shape. We started a game and John arrived. He worked some more on the courts during the first game. There were 13 pickleball players today. Present was Steve, Bob T., John, Mike, Ralph, Ron, Sharon, Carol, Johnny, Joanie, Bob H., Ken and Lynn (me). We were glad to see Johnny show up but during the last game he was playing in he had a bit of a relapse with his leg and hamstring so had to call in a replacement to finish the game. I hope he will be ok for Friday. No other problems on the court today besides all the hits I took but no harm done. Spike tried to make a new part in my hair at one point. Spike didn't even take any tumbles today but was energetic as ever, fortunately he stayed on his feet. We think we are going to have visitors on Friday. Lynn and Linda, who spend their winters at Happy Trails RV Park in Surprise, Arizona, will be visiting in the Anderson area and want to come up and join the group for some pickleball. So we are looking forward to that.
Someone left a yellow jacket at the court today and we brought it home so let us know if you are missing it. We'll bring it on Friday. The weather looks good so hope to see you then for more fun and pickleball games. Lynn
